![]() If you're interested, check out a Linux PC / server would be better to learn on too because that is what most companies use through cloud providers. If your old laptop works well enough, alternatively you could spend the money on a PC and it would be more powerful for the same price. You should defiantly get at least 8gb ram, but 16 is nicer. I don't think 2gb would work so well, so I would make sure it have at least 4gb. As a comparison, the hrs 980 has 4gb vram and ~2000 cores. ![]() It has 640 cores, which will just limit how fast learning goes, but shouldn't be a problem if you're just learning. I think you'd be able to get your feet wet and learn, but not much further. This will limit both your available batch size and network depth. Looks like there are two version, one with 2gb and one with 4gb vram, but this may not be correct. You could get your feet wet but would be limited.
